MISSION

• Support the entire hydropower ecosystem, ensuring its sustainable and profitable growth, benefiting the participants and all stakeholders.
• Ensure fair and equitable return of investment and help develop the private sector’s competency in all areas of hydropower development, including energy generation, transmission and distribution.
• Effectively advocate with Nepal government, foreign governments, civil society organizations, NGOs and INGOs for appropriate polices and regulations for the development of hydropower projects.

BELIEF

We strongly believe that:

• Hydropower development can be a potent contributor for transforming the Nepalese villages, cities and Nepali society as a whole into a prosperous and inclusive economic zone.
• Nepal has a robust potential to be a credible power producer if we can facilitate the development of infrastructures and policy framework in order to boost private entrepreneurship to attract investment in hydropower development.
• Hydropower could be the engine of growth for Nepal as it would offer opportunity to create employment, alleviate poverty and provide basic services including good governance.
• Improving the supply and quality of energy resources is critical to development, reducing conflict and ensuring peace and security.
